About
Raquel is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working with individuals with mental health and drug and alcohol concerns for the past three years, facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions. Prior to that, she worked in-patient for five years in many of the major mental health hospitals and units in northeast Ohio. Her time working in-patient sparked her passion for working with those struggling with issues stemming from trauma and stress and those with dual or severe diagnoses. She has an integrative and holistic approach to therapy, working with her clients to support growth and self-efficacy through various therapeutic interventions and approaches such as Cognitive behavioral therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Client-centered, Trauma Focused, and Emotion Focused Therapy, to name a few. She has had the pleasure of working within the community, serving a variety of cultural backgrounds, and welcomes the opportunity to continue working with a diverse population of clients. Raquel is open to learning about her clients and their needs and struggles in order to offer support and empowerment to her clients to overcome their biggest hurdles. She looks forward to working with even the most difficult clients, from those mandated to treatment and those self-referred seeking support and self-improvement.
