About
With over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults experiencing various challenges, Katie brings a deep sense of curiosity, hopefulness, honesty, humor, and respect to her work with clients. Katie has expertise in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related symptoms. She integrates treatment approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including Trauma-focused CBT and Prolonged Exposure Therapy), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy to address these issues. Katie has specialized training in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics, which gives her a strong foundation of knowledge about the impact of traumatic stress on neurodevelopment and one’s current functioning, as well as how to integrate protective factors to buffer these effects–this understanding guides Katie’s approach, both in terms of treatment planning, as well as moment-to-moment responses in session. Katie believes that each person has the ability to change and to live a life that feels deeply valuable and meaningful to them, and she takes pride in creating the relational space within which this type of change is possible. Katie enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her husband, two children, and dog.
